Our mission at Writing By Writers is to create a rigorous, compassionate and inclusive environment to learn the art of reading and writing from accomplished authors. To help achieve this we ask that all writers attending our workshops are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and sign the following community agreement (which will be sent via Docusign before your workshop). We look forward to having you join us!

Community Agreement

 

Workshop Participation

  1. I agree in a manuscrupt workshop to read every manuscript before the workshop and come prepared with written feedback for each project.

  2. I agree that writing shared in workshop is confidential and that I will not share or discuss a fellow writer's work outside of the workshop without their permission.

  3. I agree not to record any portion of the workshop (classroom sessions or conversations) without permission of those who are being recorded.

  4. I agree to make a respectful effort to use the correct name pronunciations and pronouns for my peers, faculty members, and associates.

  5. I agree to listen, participate and be aware of sharing the floor in workshop, especially with participants who might not be as vocal as I am.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

  1. I agree to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and submit proof of vaccination prior to arrival at the in-person workshop.

  2. I agree to take a self-test no more than 24-hours prior to arriving at an in-person workshop and that if I test positive, I will not attend.

  3. I agree to bring a mask with me and follow the masking protocols whether set by federal, state, county, facility, Writing By Writers or individual faculty members.

  4. I agree to bring a self-test with me and test myself if I feel ill.

  5. I agree if I test positive, I will immediately notify the staff and quarantine myself from the other participants.
